Yeah, so I tagged all my pictures... because really? People are shiesty. Hahaha... I tried not to be obnoxious with it, but I think I failed. :-x The camera did okay... a little too much noise for me, but concerts aren't exactly the best place to erm, be particular about one's photography.

I'm sorry, it took me a week to recover from the wonderousness that was the Backstreet Boys in Atlantic City. I've spent a week squeeing.

Quick recap: A friend (I won't divulge your identity ;-) ) and I made it to the front of the Pass the Line HOB line and we were pretty much 6th to 8th row in the general admission (standing room) floor. I have six videos, five of which are behind the cut and over 260 pictures, 128 of which I will post in a couple of posts, next.

Best thing I've seen today...

Walking down a busy street near me, a middle aged guy with long, light brown scraggly hair, a black baseball cap, sunglasses, dark shorts and sneakers with a Britney Spears t-shirt. Her face huge on the front and back with 2001 tour also on the back.

I guess everybody's still got plenty of fans, eh? Yay, Britney.

The most fucking RANDOM thing EVER just happened.

Remember that lovely Christmas tree that I decorated. Well we hadn't taken it down yet. So I'm sitting here at my computer and lo and behold I see a bug. The little fucker jumps like no other but I finally capture him and I edumacate my family that the little bug is a baby praying mantis, even though they doubt me. Then they realize I'm right and we oggle it. He was cute in captivity and all.

THEN my mother makes a statement that its (the captured baby mantis') mom is going to be mad... and we realize OH SHIT it came from our Christmas tree. I look over and EASILY SPOT at least another THREE baby mantises crawling on the carpet. So my dad starts capturing them... meanwhile my mom starts pulling shit (decorations) off the tree. My dad moves back towards the wall and BAM!

...At least ONE HUNDRED LIVE PRAYING MANTISES.

...

*cue me freaking out*

I had to spot them while my parents tried to clear the way for the tree. My dad finally realized we HAD to kill them and started dousing them with Raid. As they died, my mom went up to shower and my dad carried out the tree. Then I pointed out the last few live ones to my dad and he vacuumed. We saved most of the ornaments. Garland and lights are out in the snow. We're pretty sure there's a few more, but at least we can handle the stragglers.

OH MY GOD.

Apparently 30 to 300 live can hatch... and I saw the damn egg case on the tree and EWEWEWWW!!!! We figure the tree came from the Carolinas... and they hatched so early because our house is so warm. *GAG*

I am so grossed out and nauseous and shaking and have goosebumps and GAH. I hate bugs. HATEHATE. I'd be good if it was one... or even ten. BUT ONE HUNDRED?!?!? SoGROSS.

Why the hell does this weird stuff happen to us!?!?!

I would apologize for my language and stuff, but there are NO WORDS to express how freaked out I am. Oh. My. Jeebus. And also as an FYI, it's a myth that there's a law against killing praying mantises. I checked that out. EW.

P.S. - Yes, we ARE getting a FAKE tree from here on out. Mkay.

You know what I find so painfully ironic and yet it makes me alternately laugh and cringe with pain?

How much things can change in a year. In a way, I want them back... but then I look and think about some of those things and just... no. Change is inevitable and it fucking sucks - or does it? Bah, it's too early for me to try to think. Can I have a Valium yet?

Today was awesome... I could not be any more ecstatic.

I found out that I will be getting a Seeing Eye puppy in May! *squees* I have no idea when or what breed, but I'm getting one! For a year! Which also means I get to live in the good apartments, so I don't have any complaints there.

Not to mention, it was a beautiful day outside and when I woke up this morning, me and my friends went shopping. Ahahaha...

Also, there has been quite a bit of pranking... I had marshmallow fluff on my doorknob. *squint* There is also fluff all over the sink and the toilet in my bathroom. However, we managed to TP and saran wrap an entire room not belonging to us. Oops? Damn you, April Fool's.

I need to go play something by JC loudly to top off this mood.

Wee! Going to see Dance Dane Cook in a half hour. He's here tonight at 8. This should be great.
